Making your children’s Wedding Cake. When you get married, you hope to start a family one day …..and then you have 2 sons!! The fun of raising them and knowing one day they will get married as well. BUT you never think you will make their Wedding Cakes !! Owning FunCakes has brought such joy in so many ways but making your sons Wedding Cakes is such an honor ! Our sons got married 10 years apart. Both had destination weddings, one in Tennessee on a lake with the Smoky Mountains as a back drop and the other son got married in Florida on the Atlantic Ocean. Both were glorious , both were weekend affairs and a lot of fun quality family time. I left the design to the couples in what they wanted. There was around 100 guests at each wedding. The Venue and Event Planners were thrilled the cake was fake, no worries with the heat , no concerns setting the cake out the morning of the ceremony. We ordered sheet cakes from a local grocery store. Picked those up on the morning, delivered the Wedding Cake, added the edible section and off to get ready for a wonderful day.
